How Our Towing Dispatch Works
Towing is where matching the right truck matters most, and it is where most automated apps fall down. A lowered vehicle, an all wheel drive vehicle, a car with a seized wheel, or a car parked in a garage with low overhead clearance each require different equipment. Sending the wrong truck means a second dispatch, a longer wait, and sometimes a damaged car. Our dispatchers confirm the vehicle, the situation, and the pickup environment before a truck is assigned.
Most of our tows are flatbed. Flatbeds carry the entire vehicle off the road surface, which is the safest option for all wheel drive, low clearance, electric, and non rolling vehicles. Wheel lift trucks are lighter and can work in tighter spaces such as parking decks, and integrated heavy duty units handle trucks and larger vehicles.
Pricing is a hook fee plus mileage
Towing is quoted as a base hook fee plus a per mile rate to your destination. You choose the destination during booking, and the total appears before you confirm. Overnight, holiday, and difficult recovery surcharges are shown in the quote instead of appearing later on an invoice.
Where your car can go
Your repair shop, your dealership, your home, or the nearest facility if you are far from home and unsure. If the shop is closed, ask them about after hours key drop before you choose it as the destination.
Riding along
Most tow trucks can carry one or two passengers in the cab. Tell the dispatcher how many people are with you, including children in car seats, so we can send a truck that has room.
